Family Creativity

Shalom and Greetings.

This latest blog post is about my children that The Father has blessed me with. As a homeschooling mama life is always exciting and each child has different paths they choose to take  Being creative is one of those paths. Whether is is drawing by hand or kitting, my boys and girls can sure show off their colors. I sit back and watch how these young-ins learn so quickly. I need repeated instructions to get me through a stitch.

Yet drawing is one of my passions. Although I haven’t picked up a pen or pencil in a while, I do enjoy it . I made most of a living prior to marriage as an artist. So it is in my blood. Maybe that is where my children get theirs from?

My eldest daughter does knitting and macrame. Now, her little sister is catching on and now wants to make her own crafty things. I love it when my children teach each other! She just started an Instagram and she’ll be launching a store really, really soon. I keep asking her when she’s going to do it, and she always says: “Mom, not yet. I want to make everything perfect.”

Maybe she has a slight perfectionist streak.

For my middle son, drawing is his thing. He is drawing nearly everyday after school (usually while listening to Adventures in Odyssey). He spends hours making each drawing as true to the original as possible. He was so inspired by The Bible Project, that he told me he wants to study illustrating. I can’t wait to see where he goes with it.

Shalom, Mama Bell
